从5月开始，所有入读DEC课程的学生都需参加IELTS考试，费用由语言中心承担，目的是为了更好地评估课程设置。若学生的IELTS成绩达到了直读主课的条件，将自动获得unconditional offer；若没有，也不会影响语言课程的长度，只要顺利通过，即可升入主课的学习。

Dear colleagues
In May this year, we are providing all DEC students with an IELTS test, paid for by CET, to help us to accurately set the standards of our assessment tasks.
If students achieve the IELTS score they need for their university course, they will receive an unconditional offer for that course.
Otherwise, the students’ individual IELTS scores will not affect their DEC scores. Their entry to university will depend, as always, on their performance in DEC assessments.
